Shin splints are the bane of many runners. I hate to say it, but I think every runner is going to experience this very common running injury at some point in their career. I’d like to say they can be completely avoided, and that is possible but probably unlikely. If you are wise in your training and respond at the first twinge of discomfort, it won’t be too much of a problem, and that’s the topic of this episode of the Beginner Runner Village podcast.
